FAQ

Where can I buy or rent your artwork?

My work is available for purchase through different channels. Acrylic paintings can be purchased directly from my webshop and on online galleries including Saatchi Art and Artmajeur. Selected acrylic paintings can also be rented and purchased through Bernice, a Belgium-based art rental agency. Watercolour paintings, prints and greeting cards are available for purchase on my Etsy shop. Information on commissioned paintings is available on my commissions page. Interested in a studio visit? Send me a message!

Can I discover your paintings in person?

Yes! Send me a message if you’re interested in a visit. Four of my acrylic paintings are currently part of the Bernice collection in Belgium and are available for rental and purchase.

I’m looking to buy an artwork for my business. Can you issue an invoice?

Yes! I am a registered small business in Belgium (company number:  0758.944.628). As a small business, I do not charge Value Added Tax (VAT).

Do you sell prints of your paintings?

Yes! I occasionally offer high-quality prints of selected paintings. They are available for purchase on my Etsy shop.

To which countries do you ship? And how much does shipping cost?

I offer free worldwide shipping! Please keep in mind that orders to destinations outside of Europe may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. For further information, see my Terms and Conditions.

How long does it take for an order to be delivered?

Unless indicated otherwise, my paintings are shipped from Belgium. It usually takes no more than three business days for an order to be fulfilled and be sent out for delivery. Delivery times vary, depending on your location. Original acrylic paintings are usually shipped using DHL Express, which ensures a fast delivery.

How do you package paintings and posters for shipping?

Paintings are carefully wrapped in acid-free glassine paper, bubble wrap, and protective corners (if framed), and placed in a sturdy cardboard box so they will arrive safely at your home. If you are curious about my step-by-step process, read my blog post on the topic here.

What is your returns policy?

Collectors based in the European Union as well as Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland benefit from a right of return. If you wish to make use of your right of return, send me an email as soon as possible after completing your order, but at the latest within 14 days of receiving your painting(s). For further information, see my Terms and Conditions.

Do your paintings come ready to hang?

Yes. All of my paintings come ready to hang. If the painting is unframed, I install a wire hanging system on the back of the painting using eye hook screws. This allows you to hang the painting easily on your wall. Exceptionally, if the painting is small, I may use a single hanger on the back.

If the painting comes framed, the back of the frame is equipped with a hanging system. This will either be a wire hanging system or a hook.

Do you use a finishing product on your paintings?

Once my paintings are completely dry, I use a clear leveling gel medium as an isolation coat before varnishing with an acrylic varnish. The isolation coat adds an extra layer between the paint and the environment and enhances the colours of the painting. The varnish finish protects the painting from UV rays and dust or dirt.

What framing options do you offer?

I offer both framed and unframed paintings. The framing option is dependent on the specific work: some of my smaller paintings are offered with a frame, my larger works do not come framed.

All frames are painted wood floating frames. Note that framed works will slightly increase the size of the overall work. Frames are either white-painted or black-painted.

What are the size options of your paintings?

My current portfolio includes paintings sized: 30 x 40 cm/11.8 x 15.7 in. (vertical and horizontal), 50 x 70 cm/19.7 x 27.6 in., 60 x 60 cm/23.6 x 23.6 in., 90 x 70 cm/35.4 x 27.5 in, and 100 x 80 cm/39. x 31.5 in.

For commissions, any size of canvas can be discussed. I enjoy working larger scale as well (see this work of 140 x 100 cm/55.1 x 39.3 in.).

Do you provide Certificates of Authenticity (COA’s) for your original paintings?

Yes, for each of my paintings I create a certificate of authenticity, including details of the work, an image of the painting, my signature and date of sale. I provide an original certificate to customers following purchase. Please note that I do not provide certificates for my collection of small watercolour paintings.

I’m new to online shopping and have some questions/would like more information about your products and/or terms of sale before placing my order, can you help me?
