During the last couple of weeks, I have been busy working on this commissioned seascape painting.šŸ–¼ļøšŸŒŠā˜€ļø The last available of my 30 x 40 cm framed #ForestSeries paintings is a personal favourite, ā€œForest Staircaseā€. ā€œAbstracted Sculptural Treesā€ marks a turning point in my exploration of form and colour. In this 40 x 40 cm original acrylic painting, I zoomed in on one particular area I had painted in the first painting of my collection, Sculptural Trees. Working with a detail, I explored flattening out colour and shape. Itā€™s Wednesday! My blog post on the process of packaging paintings is online! My fascination with twisting tree branches has evolved to a particular focus on low-to-the-ground intertwining tree branches and tree trunks. This painting is the third that focuses on what I am calling ā€œsculptural treesā€. Walking in the Sonian Forest, there are many arrestingly beautiful scenes. A little path curves around a pond, dusted in green, mirroring the green of the trees. The ripples in the water seem to be the only movement on this warm sunny morning. Gathering inspiration for new paintings! ā€œHorizontal Sculptural Treesā€ in a crisp white and wood interior. This soft colour palette adds colour without overwhelming a space. This is my second painting in my Sculptural Trees collection, part of my #ForestSeries. A cool colour palette of greens, blues, browns, light yellows and bright whites are balanced and unified with hints of red ochre. ā€œRed Ochre Sculptural Treesā€ (100 x 80 cm/39.4 x 31.5 in.) is the fourth painting in my collection Sculptural Trees, part of my #ForestSeriesšŸŒ³šŸŒ². The sun is streaming in this morning, creating strong shadows across my ā€œRed Ochre Sculptural Treesā€ painting.ā˜€ļø
